Rudbeckia Marmalade .

A species of the genus Rudbeckia of the Compositae family. A perennial herbaceous plant up to 90-100 cm tall, the stems are simple or branching, covered with a stiff, protruding pubescence of 1 mm or more in length. The leaves are alternate, elliptical, lanceolate or ovate in outline, wedge-shaped at the base, with a solid or serrated edge, sharp at the end.

The false-lingual flowers are 8-16 in number, their tongue is 1.5-4.5 × 0.5-1 cm, elliptical, oblong or obovate, entirely yellow or yellow-orange, or mostly yellow, and closer to the base chestnut-brown, in some forms completely chestnut-brown.

An ornamental plant covered with stiff pubescence, with yellow-brown marginal false-lingual flowers and purple-brown median tubular flowers located on a convex peduncle.
