Samarkand almonds fresh seeds, Amygdalus tree, Almonds seeds, Thin-shelled almonds, Nut seed, Fruit nut seeds, Organic seeds, Non GMO (lat. Amygdalus).
A shrub or small tree from the Almond (Amygdalus) subgenus of the Plum genus. A shrub (rarely a small tree) 4-6 m tall, very branched. There are two types of shoots: elongated vegetative and shortened generative.
The leaves are petiolate, lanceolate, with a long-pointed tip. The flowers are solitary, up to 2.5 cm in diameter, with white or light pink petals, numerous stamens and one pistil, consist of a flanked leafy calyx and a pink or red corolla. The flowers bloom before the leaves.
The fruit is a dry velvety-pubescent oval monostyle with a leathery green fleshy inedible pericarp. Dry pericarp at maturity is easily separated from the bone. Almonds have a fragile and thin shell. It will not be difficult to release the berry from the shell.
Samarkand almonds are popular due to their thin skin and unusual taste.
