Palm Sabal Minor minor, Sabal minor, or Sabal Adanson (Latin Sabal minor).

A woody plant; a species of the genus Sabal of the Palm family. The trunk is underground, there is no developed aboveground trunk or it is short.

The leaves are fan-shaped, rigid, bluish-green, depending on the conditions, they can grow from 30 cm to 1.5-2 m. Leaf blades are 70-100 cm long, leaf blades are radially dissected into folded linear segments up to 40 in number, segments are short dissected and pointed at the ends, but not sharp, 3-6 cm wide; incision the median segments are longer than the marginal ones.

The inflorescences on the palm are from one to three, they are compound, erect, branched in the upper part, up to 2-2.5 m long and 2-3 cm wide at the base. Flowers 3.5-5.2 mm.

The fruit is a spherical drupe with a thin pericarp, 7-10 mm in diameter, brownish-black or almost black, shiny. The seeds are rounded 5-7 mm in diameter, brown in color, slightly flattened.

This type of palm prefers to grow in swamps and on damp soils, along the banks of rivers and reservoirs, sometimes forms thickets; but it also occurs in more arid areas.
