Albizia Lebbeck

Deciduous tree up to 20 m high. The trunk is erect with wide, strong branches.

The leaves bear some resemblance to ferns. 7.5–15 cm long, with one to four pairs of auricles, each auricle with 6–18 leaflets.

The flowers are white, with numerous stamens 2.5–3.8 cm long, and very fragrant.

The fruit is a pod 15-30 cm long and 2.5-5.0 cm wide, containing from 6 to 12 seeds.

It is moderately demanding of soil, developing best on deep, loose, loam of average fertility. Prefers light, breathable soils.
