Cactus with a gray-green cylindrical stem, forms lateral shoots with age. In height , the stem reaches 4-5 cm . The tubercles (papillae) are hard, up to 8 mm in length. Axillae are pubescent only at the top of the cactus.
Radial spines, ranging from 15 to 22, thin, white, up to one and a half centimeters in length. One central thorn is stronger, hooked, up to two centimeters in length. The flowers are lilac-pink, up to 2.5 cm in diameter.
