Blackberry, or bushy blackberry (lat. Rubus fruticosus), or common blackberry (lat. Rubus vulgaris).
Shrub up to 1.5 m high. The root system is perennial, the above-ground part is biennial. The branches and leaf cuttings are densely covered with small thorns, the leaf blade has a jagged shape.
The flowers are white. When ripe, the berries change color from green to dark blue or dark purple and are very similar in shape to raspberries.
Loamy, loose, fertilized soils (pH = 5.8-6.1) with a groundwater level depth of no higher than 1.5 m are suitable.
