Red raspberry Maroseyka (lat. Rubus idaeus var. Maroseyka)
Non-repairing, large-fruited variety, medium-early in terms of ripening. The bush of the Maroseyka raspberry is strong, spreading, up to 160-170 cm high; over the summer it produces up to 6-7 replacement shoots and up to 8-12 branches of low growth.
The shoots are straight, covered with a protective felt coating, and there are no thorns. Most of the bud axils on the stems form thick, strong, branched fruit clusters bearing 12-20 berries. The leaves are large, soft, wrinkled, bright green in spring, darkening in autumn.
The berries are light red in color, large, up to 4.5-5 cm in size, weighing up to 10-15 g, conical, irregular in shape, lumpy. The drupes are not one-dimensional, but are well interconnected.
The pulp is juicy, fleshy, but at the same time quite elastic, which allows you to collect, store and transport the berries without significant problems. The pulp tastes very sweet with a characteristic raspberry sourness, the aroma is rich and berry.
Maroseyka sings from the beginning or mid-July to the end of August. The average yield of a bush with 6-8 shoots is 4-6 kg per summer. The shallow root system of the shrub is vulnerable to frost and does not tolerate drought well.
It can grow in poor soil, but for abundant fruiting it needs fertile soil, preferably loamy soil.
