Tree up to 25 m high (usually less tall - up to 12 meters). The bark on young branches is olive-colored, on old ones it is dark gray with narrow longitudinal cracks.

Leaves are up to 18 cm long, up to 10 cm wide, ovate, with three to seven sharp lobes. The leaf petiole is 2-5 cm long. Flowers with a diameter of 6-8 mm with white petals are collected in a corymbose inflorescence.

The fruits are spherical or ovoid, 8-12 mm in diameter, from brownish-yellow to red-brown in color, covered with light dots. The fruits are suitable for consumption.

A beautiful plant with an openwork crown, which is often used in landscape design for landscaping and decorating gardens, parks, boulevards and squares.

Rowan is unpretentious, undemanding to soil, salt-tolerant, and light-loving.
