Apple tree Welsey, Winter apple variety, Malus domestica, Apple Welsey seeds, Apple tree (lat. Malus)
The Welsey tree is high-yielding and early-fruiting. The Welsey apple tree is large, the branches are slightly drooping, brown in color, with light pubescence. Its height is 5-5.5 m. The leaves are dark green, lanceolate, with wavy edges.
The branches grow upwards, their tips are pubescent, completely covered with small dark green leathery leaves. The flowering is white-pink, the inflorescences are small, usually open in May.
Apples of medium size, up to 120 g in weight. They look like turnips in shape. The skin is thin but dense, the main shade is green, but over time it becomes golden. Thin, blurred pink-red stripes are almost completely located on the surface. The taste of the fruit is sweet and sour, there is a subtle strawberry aroma.
The Welsey variety is considered average in winter hardiness. It tolerates frosts up to -25 degrees, but no more.
Fruiting begins three to four years after planting. From one tree, you can collect about 200 kg of delicious medium-sized apples.
