Mountain Ash, Sorbus scopulina, Rock rowan
Straight shrub 2 m tall and 1.5 m wide or tree up to 7 m tall.
The leaves are pinnate, 3-6 cm long with 15 oblong-lanceolate, dark green leaves. Corymbs 10 cm in diameter bear white flowers.
The fruits are spherical, glossy red berries 1 cm in diameter.
It is undemanding to soils, but prefers medium loamy soils with slightly acidic and neutral reaction conditions.
