The thick trunk and branches of the brick-colored tree, the straight shoots are pubescent, raised upwards. The shoot formation is rather weak. The formation of the crop takes place on twigs and ringlets.

The leaves of the apple tree are large, bright green in color, attached to the branches with pubescent petioles. The plates have the shape of a boat with a twisted tip. There is a serration along the edges of the leaf. The pedicel is thick, long or medium.

The flowering of the Zhiguli apple tree comes as early as possible and therefore there is a risk of damage to the flowers during recurrent spring frosts. Large flowers of this variety are collected in impressive inflorescences.

Apples growing on a tree are one-dimensional, have the same weight from 120 to 250 grams, but fruits weighing up to 350 grams can occur. The average weight is 220 grams.

Zhigulevskoe belongs to the late autumn varieties. Apples ripen within 10-15 days, in the southern regions the harvest is harvested in the last decade of August, and in the north - in early autumn. Apples reach consumer ripeness 2-3 weeks after they are harvested — in this case, full sweetness comes. They are consumed fresh from the end of September to December, and with good storage until the end of January.

The tree begins to bear fruit from the fifth to sixth year. At an early age, the apple tree bears fruit regularly, at maturity - fruiting is periodic, the amount of harvest does not decrease.
