Primrose or spring primrose is a powerful and harmless medicinal plant rich in vitamins A and C. Expectorant, diuretic, vitamin remedy.

Spring primrose, popularly called "Primrose", is a powerful medicinal plant used in folk medicine as an expectorant, analgesic, diuretic and vitamin remedy for colds, flu, bronchitis, pneumonia, etc.

Primrose grows everywhere on all territories of the temperate zone of Russia, in Ukraine and Belarus, as well as in the Caucasus, Turkey, Iran and Western Europe, in meadows and forest edges, as well as in rare forests among shrubs.

Medicinal raw materials are harvested during flowering (aboveground part with flowers) and in autumn, when the aboveground part is dead (rhizome with roots). If necessary, the primrose rhizome can be harvested in early spring, but until the plant has formed a deciduous apparatus.

The plant is absolutely harmless and not poisonous, so it is recommended for self-preparation, preparation and use. However, it is not recommended to use primrose preparations during pregnancy and lactation.
