Use:
Decorative and used in folk medicine.

Growing conditions:
Plant in moist, well-drained soil. A sunny or partially shaded location is preferred. For the winter, the planting site should be covered with sawdust or leaves.

Growing from seeds:
Option 1: In open ground, in late October - November (when the soil has frozen slightly), plant the seeds to a depth of 2-3 cm. The planting site should be mulched with a layer of humus or peat (10-15 cm).
Option 2: Before planting, treat the seeds with a fungicide (e.g., "Maxim" or "Vitaros"). At the end of winter, sow the seeds in shallow containers with loose, non-acidic soil (a mixture of peat, sand, and leaf mold) to a depth of about 5 mm. Then, place the container with the seeds in a refrigerator at a temperature of about 0°C (-1°C to +1°C) for 2-3 months. Then, move the container to a warmer location (+18-20°C) and wait for germination. The seedlings spend their first year in a container; by fall, they will develop a tiny bulb. Several times during the season, you can water the seedlings with a weak solution of complex mineral fertilizer. Once the bulbs have grown and strengthened (usually in the third or fourth year), they can be planted in their permanent location.
