Dvukistochnik reedy, dvukistochnik reed, zhitovnik. Folk names — dvukistochnik, silk grass. A species of monocotyledonous plants of the genus Canary (Phalaris) of the Cereal family (Poaceae).
A herbaceous perennial plant. The leaves are simple, lanceolate or linear in shape, with a sharp tip and a wedge-shaped or truncated base; the lower part of the leaf is rough. Inflorescence — spike or panicle. The flowers are small, brown, green, purple flowers. The fruit is a grain, brown or yellow in color. Light-loving, shade-tolerant plant.
