Paris Quadrifolia, Paris Herb True Lover Knot (lat. Paris plant)

A perennial up to 40 cm tall with a creeping rhizome. The leaf arrangement is whorled. Unlike most monocotyledons, the venation of the leaf in the crow's eye is reticulated.
The green flower consists of four sepals, four petals (sometimes there are 4-6 of them together), eight stamens and a 4-5-nest ovary that turns into a black berry. Blooms in June — July. There are specimens with five leaves and five parts of the flower.
