An annual vine with vines up to 3-4 meters long. The leaves are carved, small, about 4 cm.
The flowers are white, emitting a delicate sweet aroma.
The fruit is narrow, cylindrical, with a thin skin; inside it contains soft, tender, slimy pulp. At the initial stage of development, they resemble long green cucumbers pointed towards the nose. But as they grow and mature, they change their color, first becoming striped, acquiring white stripes, and then orange, with uneven color intensity. The length of the fruit is up to 50 cm, but can reach up to 120 cm.
