Charentais melon (Charentais, Cucumis melo var. cantalupensis)
The medium-ripened variety is native to France (from germination to ripening of the first fruits 80-85 days). Germination rate is 87%. The plant is long-leaved, powerful, strongly branching.
The fruits are medium-sized, weighing 0.6-1.0 kg, flattened and spherical. The bark is thin. The surface is slightly segmented, creamy-gray, with a thin greenish grid. The flesh is yellow-orange, fragrant, juicy, sweet, with a high content of sugars and carotene.
