Hot pepper Habanero Mustard, Habanero Mustard, Habanero Mustard pepper (lat. Capsicum Chinense)
An extremely pungent variety that produces high yields. Plants are bushy, up to 75 cm in height. The growing season until biological maturity is 200 days. This variety, like other habaneros, is best grown in a greenhouse; it requires a hot summer for the fruits to fully ripen and achieve their legendary pungency. Seeds may germinate slowly if conditions are not ideal.
The fruits are wrinkled, 3.5 cm long, 3.5 cm in diameter. The pods grow in bunches of 3–4 from each node. When ripe, the pods change color from light green with a hint of purple to mustard and orange. The flesh of this hot pepper has a rich tropical fruit aroma and a unique taste.
