Pandora Chocolate Hot Pepper.

Description:
A unique variety of cayenne pepper. The bush grows up to 70 cm tall.

The fruits are long, tapering pods that are dark green when ripe, and turn a rich chocolate brown as they mature. The flavor is rich, with distinct smoky and fruity notes.

On the Scoville scale, the heat rating is 100,000-400,000 units.

Uses:
For making sauces, salsas, marinades, and for fresh consumption.

Growing from seed:
Before planting, prepare the seeds: soak them in a weak solution of potassium permanganate for half an hour, then wrap them in a damp cloth and leave at 25ºC until they sprout. After this, carefully plant the seedlings in moist soil to a depth of 5-10 mm, leaving at least 5 cm between them. Cover with plastic wrap or glass, and place in a warm location. As soon as seedlings begin to emerge, move the plants into the light. Remember to keep the substrate slightly moist, but avoid overwatering. Periodically, it's a good idea to loosen the soil between seedlings. When the seedlings develop two pairs of true leaves, transplant them into shallow pots 8-10 cm in diameter. Water the seedlings before transplanting. Before planting, fertilize the hot pepper seedlings twice: two weeks after transplanting and two weeks after the first fertilizing.

Hot peppers should be planted outdoors when the seedlings are just beginning to form their first buds. Maintaining an average daily temperature of 15-17ºC is also essential. Two weeks before planting, hot pepper seedlings are hardened off: daily "walking" of the seedlings in the open air, starting with 15-20 minutes, gradually increasing the duration.
