A variety of hot pepper that belongs to the Ancho/Poblano varietal group. Plants up to 90 cm in height. Hot Mulato pepper is numerically characterized by large, heart-shaped fruits up to 8 x 15 cm in size.
The pods are large, dark green in technical maturity, after 45-50 days they bloom into chocolate. Pepper can be used in both immature and mature stages.
Burning on the Scoville scale is from 500 to 2500 units. In dry form, it is used in many dishes of Mexican cuisine. The growing season in the greenhouse to biological maturity is 150-160 days.
