Tree up to 20 m tall. The bark of the trunk is greenish-gray, the branches are light gray, last year's shoots are gray, with a yellowish tinge, naked. Young shoots glandular-hairy. Even in leafless condition, the tree attracts attention. The leaves are alternate, large, non-pinnate, with a brownish, glandular-pubescent petiole, on which 9 to 21 leaflets are placed. Leaflets oblong-ovate (18 x 6 cm), asymmetrical at the base, short-pointed at the top, large-toothed at the edge; from above green, redkovolosistye, with the lower hand lighter, with more dense, yellowish or reddish pubescence. Staminate flowers in catkins up to 30 cm long are placed two to five together, pistillate-in long, straight racemes, on one axis up to 12-20. The fruits are rounded or ovate, up to 5 cm long, with a hairy, adhesive surface, in hanging tassels, up to 20 pieces. Seeds-nut (up to 4 cm) with a sharp top and rounded base, the kernel of the seed is good taste.
