Delonix royal (Fire tree, lat. Delonix Regia)

Deciduous tree native to Madagascar of the Legume family (Fabaceae) of the Caesalpiniaceae subfamily (Caesalpinioideae). The height of the plant reaches 12-14 meters. The bark is dark, gray-brown, smooth at a young age, then covered with cracks. The lateral shoots are densely branched. The crown is hemispherical.

The leaves are dark green, double-feathered. The leaves are folded overnight.

The flowers are bright scarlet or dark orange. Inflorescences are large. For the first time, plants begin to bloom at the age of 3-4 years, they reach full maturity by the age of 10.

The fruits are large pods, ripen in September or October. Length — more than half a meter, width — 5-6 cm. The leaves of green beans are light brown, as they ripen they become dark purple or brown, they turn rustic. The beans are dark, smooth, 2-2.5 cm in size.
