The inflorescences are paniculate up to 30 cm long. The corolla is funnel-shaped, bell-shaped, 7-9.5 cm long and 4-5 cm in diameter, consists of 5 petals of purple or pale pink color. The fruit is an ovoid capsule. The racemose inflorescences are painted in a light lavender shade.

It has a long flowering period and moderate cold resistance: adult trees can withstand cold spells up to minus 17 degrees, and young ones - up to minus 10 degrees.
