Ailanthus excelsa, Tree of Heaven.

Deciduous tree up to 25m high and up to 5m wide. The trunk is straight with spreading branches.

The leaves are twisted, 30cm long with coarse veins.

The flowers are small and green.

The fruits are 3 to 5 cm long, tapered at both ends, winged with prominent veins.

Prefers well-drained soils and avoids clay and waterlogged soils.
