Tecoma straight, Tecoma stans

Shrub or small tree up to 8 m high. The bark is dark, wrinkled.

The bright green bush with shiny leaves is decorated with clusters of large sunny yellow bells, and flowering continues almost all year round.

The fruit is a narrow elongated capsule-pod.

Typically planted as a tapeworm, in a small group of a few specimens, or as a hedge/shrub border.

Prefers fertile, well-drained sandy soil.
