Lithops olivacea PV 986.

Description:
A compact succulent from South Africa, up to 2 cm tall, consisting of two fused leaves separated by a gap. The color is deep olive green or olive brown with a matte effect, often with a blurred, indistinct pattern or small dark dots.
Flowers are yellow. Blooms from July to October.

Uses:
For interior decoration, creating desert compositions ("succulent gardens").

Growing from seeds:
Succulents can be sown year-round, but seedlings will need additional light (up to 10-12 hours) in the fall and winter.
Soil: should be light and sterilized. Add about half the sand, sifted to remove dust, to prepared soil for cacti and succulents. If you use sand from outside, be sure to heat it first. Disinfection.
Containers: low and wide with holes in the bottom.
Sowing: To ensure the seeds swell, thoroughly soak the soil at the beginning. A temperature range of +15°C at night and +25°C to +28°C during the day is recommended.
Add a drainage layer and a layer of soil to the container, moisten with a spray bottle, and let it soak for an hour. For even sowing, carefully space the seeds with a toothpick at the desired distance. Then press them lightly into the soil with your finger, but do not bury them too deep. If the seeds are larger, you can sprinkle them with a little sand. Cover with plastic wrap and place in a warm (+26°C), well-lit place away from drafts. Open the container daily for ventilation (1-2 times a day for 15-20 minutes) and monitor the soil moisture. As soon as the first shoots appear, increase the ventilation time until the plastic wrap is no longer needed. Seedlings that have reached 3-5 cm in height, can be planted in separate pots."
